I looked up the streets through the taxi window and said: “You have to do Paris at least once in your life” I kept repeating this to myself as I marveled at the said beautiful city with its artifacts. Sometimes you know you are going to have the best time of your life in a city the minute you breathe in it, and that is, was Paris for me. Most parts of France that I have visited are pretty clean and Paris did not disappoint.
An annual marathon was happening right there, at the main attraction (Eiffel Tower). Yet I could not help but picture the space on a different day; less people below the tower, all green and simply tourist worthy! I had to take in everything I was being given, experience it the way it is, stunning. You could see that everyone was thrilled to have made it, endless selfie time and stares. I explored all the famous ‘must see’ sites; Lurve, Cathedral etc, you name it. I could not believe the queue at the Louis Viton store; just unbelivable, crazy.
As my luck would have it, right next to where I was getting some crepe and cappuccino for the culture, I witnessed what seemed to be an independent film shoot and I could not help the need to know more or be part of the crew, memory of yesterday, just all type of nostalgic. It got me saying “this is the Paris I had in mind”. I am definitely returning to Paris one day…
